Privacy Policy
This notice explains what information Obioma handles, why it is used, and the choices available to private-beta members.
Effective 24 August 2026 · Private beta version
1. Information we collect
We collect account and profile information such as name, email address, role, username, photograph, location, biography, studio details, preferences, and beta-application answers. We also process catalogue content, messages, attachments, invoices, order records, reviews, reports, and support correspondence. If you choose to share fit details, we also process your measurements and any full-body photo you submit.
Technical information may include device and browser details, timestamps, session and security events, approximate network information, error diagnostics, and interactions needed to operate and protect the service.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide accounts and marketplace features, connect members, deliver messages and notifications, maintain transaction records, review beta applications, prevent abuse, respond to support and safety requests, measure reliability, and improve the product. Marketing messages are optional where the product provides a preference.
3. Visibility and sharing
Public profile and published catalogue information can be seen by visitors. Conversation, order, invoice, and private catalogue information is limited to authorised participants and administrators who need access for support, security, or moderation. Measurements sent in a conversation are visible to its participants, and only the sender can edit them. A full-body photo is optional and shared only after separate consent. New edits can stop sharing an earlier photo; an already opened short-lived link may remain valid briefly.
We use infrastructure and service providers to host the application, database, authentication, storage, deployment, email, security, and monitoring. They process information under their service terms and safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, rights, and the service.
4. Retention
We keep information while an account is active and for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above. Safety reports, order histories, audit records, backups, and legal records may be retained longer. Beta applications that are not accepted will be periodically reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.
Fit details
Measurements and an optional fit photo remain in the conversation while the message is available. Editing a message to stop sharing a photo, or deleting it for everyone, removes participant access to that photo. Unused photo files are scheduled for removal after 30 days. Earlier measurement revisions may remain in restricted records for order support, disputes, and legal obligations. Contact privacy@obioma.app to request access, correction, or deletion where available.
Studio verification
Tailors who choose to complete verification provide legal identity, contact and address details, a government ID, and, for the highest level, business registration and payout-name information. Obioma does not request a full bank account number or BVN in this form. Authorised reviewers use this information to check identity and business eligibility. Evidence is stored privately; access by reviewers is recorded, and information may be shared with an approved verification or payment partner when needed for the stated purpose.
Unsubmitted uploads are scheduled for removal after 30 days. Evidence from superseded or unsuccessful reviews is scheduled for removal after 12 months. Approved evidence is retained while the studio relationship remains active and reviewed for deletion when it ends, subject to financial-record, dispute, and legal requirements. Contact privacy@obioma.app to request access, correction, or deletion where available.
5. Security
We use access controls, row-level database policies, private storage, encrypted transport, monitoring, and operational safeguards appropriate to the service. No online system is risk-free. Use a unique password and never send passwords, one-time codes, or full payment credentials in a conversation.
6. Your choices
You can update profile and notification preferences in Settings, unpublish catalogue content, mute or archive conversations, block members, and submit reports. You may request access, correction, export, deletion, or restriction of personal information by contacting us. Some records may be retained where necessary for security, disputes, legal obligations, or the rights of other members.
7. Children
Obioma is not designed for children who cannot legally consent to an online marketplace account in their location. If you believe a child provided information without appropriate permission, contact us.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as the product and service providers change. Material updates will be communicated through the service. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@obioma.app. Use of Obioma is also subject to the Terms of Use.
